(Nashville, Tennessee...) - September 15, 2016 - Farewell Angelina, a group of powerhouse vocalists, multi-instrumentalists and dynamic songwriters who RollingStone featured in this month's "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know," have added singer/songwriter/ guitarist Lauren Lucas to the critically acclaimed band.
"When we thought about adding a member, Lauren is the only person we considered," said the Farewell Angelina members jointly. "We knew that she would be the perfect fit for our band!!"
Before becoming a single unit, the multi-talented members of Farewell Angelina - formed by Nicole Witt, Andrea Young and Lisa Torres - experienced individual successes by having their songs cut by artists like George Strait, Lee Brice and Rodney Atkins, while also lending their voices and instruments to songs by Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean and Jerrod Niemann. Their debut self-titled EP, co-produced by Keith Stegall (Zac Brown Band, Alan Jackson), was released on his new Dreamlined Entertainment label this summer.
"The Nashville music scene and Music Row is an important, vibrant, creative community that I have felt privileged to be a part of since I was a 15-year-old solo singer/songwriter," said Lucas, who was featured in Nashville Scene's list of "Five Women Threatening To Give Mainstream Music A Good Name." "The women in Farewell Angelina and I have written songs together for years, cut each other's songs on solo projects and have even been to each other's weddings. We have a rich history together as a band of musical collaborators and friends. I could have never dreamt that an opportunity to have a career making music with some of my longest-standing friends and finest musicians in Nashville could come my way. I am so proud to join Farewell Angelina."
Promotion and artist development for Farewell Angelina is being handled by Star Farm Nashville, and their current single, the beautiful "If It Ain't With You," is poised to conquer the radio universe this fall.
About Farewell Angelina:
Farewell Angelina is an all-female country group featuring four powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters and badass multi-instrumentalists. Nicole Witt and Andrea Young teamed up with noted Nashville harmony singer and solo artist Lisa Torres in late 2014. Their clear writing chemistry, creative drive and incendiary performance soon caught the ears and eyes of producers Jen Ketner and Keith Stegall, and recording commenced in 2015. This year celebrated the release of their debut EP on Stegall's Dreamlined Entertainment and appearances at the ACM All-Star Jam, CMA Music Fest, a 75-city radio tour and festival dates at Creek Fest and Trails West. In late summer 2016 they added ACM and Tony Award nominee Lauren Lucas, adding yet another lead vocalist and stellar guitarist to the mix.
