Muscle Shoals: "Small Town, Big Sound" Tops Americana Airplay Chart

There’s something classic in the walls of Fame Studios that seems to seep into every record recorded there. With producer Keith Stegall behind the board, “Muscle Shoals: ‘Small Town, Big Sound’” brought that classic sound to life once again, recutting some of the biggest hits in Fame Studios’ history.

In 1967, Etta James arrived at Fame Studios to record one of her soon-to-be career-defining songs, “I’d Rather Go Blind.” Fifty years later, Grace Potter stood in the same studio singing the same song and today, it sits at the top of the Americana Airplay Chart. Its chart-topping success has also propelled “Muscle Shoals: ‘Small Town, Big Sound’” to the #1 album slot.
